Key Responsibilities Polar Latitudes Expeditions (PLX) is looking for a versatile designer to join our growing creative team. Working closely with the Design Director, this person will create work across web, digital, print, editorial, and guest-facing communications. We're looking for someone with strong design fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and particular strength in web and digital design. This is a broad role that combines original design work with production – from developing new concepts and layouts to working within established design systems. A major upcoming focus will be redesigning the PLX website in partnership with an external agency. During the redesign, web work will become a significant part of the role; afterward, the position will continue as a multidisciplinary design role supporting PLX across web, digital, and print. Location: This role is preferably based in the Ft Lauderdale/Miami area, working from our Florida office. We will also consider exceptional candidates based in Copenhagen. Candidates based in Copenhagen should be available to work from 11:00 to 19:00 Copenhagen time to support collaboration across time zones. The successful candidate is expected to start in January 2027 or later. What You'll Do Design responsive pages and user experiences for the new PLX website, including wireframes, page layouts, and polished designs for developer handoff. Develop original layouts and visual concepts for projects that call for a new creative approach. Prepare accurate, production-ready files for print, digital distribution, and external vendors. Create print and digital materials, including brochures, flyers, advertisements, presentations, signage, guest materials, and other brand collateral. Adapt established designs for new content, photography, applications, and formats while maintaining visual consistency. What We're Looking For A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent visual design fundamentals, particularly typography, layout, imagery, and color. Experience in web/UI/UX design, including responsive page design, wireframing, and translating complex content into intuitive digital experiences. An understanding of how websites work as systems – including navigation, reusable components, responsive behavior, and consistency across pages. Strong Adobe Creative Cloud skills, particularly InDesign and Photoshop; Illustrator is a plus. Strong creative and “outside the box” design work with the ability to balance it with detail-oriented production. Nice to Have Working knowledge of HTML and CSS or a general understanding of front-end development. Experience collaborating with developers or external web agencies. Experience with infographics and information design. Experience in adventure travel or the broader travel and hospitality industry. Why Join Polar Latitudes Expeditions?
