Starting Pay Rate: $19.00 hourly

Day/Swing shift available

The Lead Dock and Grounds Attendant assists with overseeing daily activities of The Cove grounds keeping and Dock Attendant crew. Responsibilities include delegating work assignments, and inspecting grounds and dock/rental boat conditions.

What does a Lead Dock and Grounds Attendant do?

• Under the direction of the Operations Manager/Supervisor, assists in overseeing the grounds and dock attendant team in the daily upkeep of The Cove grounds.
• Leads maintenance crew in equipment operations, mowing and watering.
• Coordinates daily assignments in conjunction with the Operations Supervisor/Manager.
• Ensures that all staff are fully trained; instructs in proper equipment use and work methods to ensure safety standards are met.
• Oversees the completion of work assignments and assists with field decisions regarding job procedures, work standards, and machinery use.
• Assists in preparing rental boats for customers, ensuring boats are properly equipped.
• Provides customer with proper and safe operating instructions for all motorized and non-motorized water equipment.

Work Experience

To be successful as a Lead Dock and Grounds Attendant, you'll need:

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• 2-3 years grounds keeping experience; experience in horticulture or a closely related field preferred.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must have the ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 71 - 80 pounds.
