Registered Nurse - Surgical Services

Location: Texas

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift: 5x8 hour days (06:30 - 15:00)

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for Surgical Services. The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of experience and be comfortable working within a diverse surgical unit that includes General, Ortho, OB/GYN, GI, Colorectal, ENT, and Pain management.

Responsibilities:

• Performing pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
• Assisting with various surgical procedures including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and arthroscopies.
• Managing patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and compliance with standards.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Participating in on-call duties and potential recovery assignments as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in surgical services.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Strong technical skills in various surgical procedures, including, but not limited to: lobe resection, lung resection, laparoscopic assisted procedures, and spinal fusion.
