Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg unit, who will be responsible for providing quality care to patients, including those who are Covid positive. The ideal candidate should have a strong focus on patient-centered care and be able to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for Med/Surg patients, including those recovering from surgery.
• Perform standard nursing skills such as IV insertions, urinary catheter insertions/maintenance, and central line maintenance.
• Administer medications and communicate effectively with all members of the care team.
• Document patient information in the EHR (Meditech).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 1 year of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year.
• Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time.
• Preferred 2+ years of acute Med/Surg experience and a background in ortho or neuro-surgery.
• Valid RN license in the state of Texas.
