This person performs warehousing functions to replenish the finished goods inventory with material from the manufacturing facilities. Fills customer orders, inspects material and packs material for shipment as needed in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors• Checks and places materials in the correct bin• Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies• Informs supervisor and photographs all defective materials• Cuts down over-sized laminate to fill pending orders• Reads, interprets, processes, and packs orders• Performs total skid count for loads• Adhere to all established safety protocols and procedures• Assists the needs of the customerKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESAbility to learn computers sufficient to check inventoriesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work well with others in a team atmosphereAbility to learn materials inventoriedAbility to learn packing techniquesAbility to learn proper material handling techniquesAbility to understand and follow directionsAbility to work independentlyAbility to drive a lift truckAbility to read and understand customer ordersAbility to operate a sawAbility to enter data at an acceptable speedEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GEDEXPERIENCE1+ years relevant warehouse experiencePHYSICAL DEMANDSContinuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMSENVIRONMENTLocated in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.
