Contract | Days | 5x8s (06:45–15:15) or 4x10s (06:45–17:15) — indicate shift preference upon submission

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care for cardiac and thoracic surgical cases in the CVOR setting
• Participate in on-call rotation every other week, Sunday through Saturday, shared with one other CVOR RN
• Assist with Main OR procedures when no cardiac or thoracic cases are scheduled
• Provide holiday call coverage, with Christmas coverage preferred
• Utilize Epic EMR proficiently throughout all aspects of patient care — no exceptions

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or compact license — must be in hand at time of submission, no exceptions
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience with proficiency in cardiac and thoracic surgery
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory — no exceptions
• No prior license or background hits will be considered — any history will eliminate a candidate from consideration
• Facility cannot accommodate a PAPR — any history of fit test issues will eliminate a candidate from consideration
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be provided for address verification prior to any offer acceptance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• Holiday call availability, particularly for Christmas
