You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation for a more connected, compassionate world.About The RoleA Senior DevOps Engineer works with developers and IT staff to oversee the code releases, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding. From creating and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve the applications and environments, a DevOps Engineer increases productivity in the workplace. They understand the software development lifecycle and have a clear understanding of various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines).Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Build CI/CD Pipelines: Create automated systems to test and deploy code quickly.Manage Infrastructure as Code: Use code to provision and scale cloud servers automatically.Ensure Observability: Set up logging and monitoring tools to catch system errors early.Lead Incident Response: Fix major production crashes and find the root cause of failures.Mentor Team Members: Guide junior engineers and review their technical work.Ensure uptime of 99.9% and 99% quality of service (degradation)Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires a Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.Nice to Have:Experience: Seven or more years working in DevOps, systems administration, or software support.Leadership: Proven ability to lead projects and work with cross-functional teams.Cloud Platforms: Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)Container Tools: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for running apps.Scripting Languages: Strong skills in Python, Bash, or Shell.Monitoring Systems: Familiarity with NewRelic and OpenSearch.Maintain and support infrastructure tools (JIRA, Jenkins)Benefits & CompensationMiniMed offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits packageAt MiniMed, we put people first. PR) locations (USD):$112,000.00 - $190,000.00For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $124,000.00 - $ 212,000.00 USD.Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location.
