Core Summary

This role is a hands‑on SolidWorks drafting job for a big RV redesign project. You’ll update RV models, create clean drawings, and work with both designers and production staff to make sure parts can be built correctly.

What You’ll Do

• RV model updates — Redesign RV components so they fit new standardized floor/subfloor platforms.

• SolidWorks modeling — Build and update 3D models and 2D drawings for floors, walls, cabinets, side skirts, slide‑outs, and luggage compartments.

• Drafting for manufacturing — Create accurate drawings that fabrication and assembly teams can use.

• Design accuracy — Ensure designs are functional, manufacturable, and structurally sound.

• CAD documentation — Maintain and revise drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.

• Team collaboration — Work with designers and production staff to clarify drawings and solve issues.

• Follow standards — Use templates and design rules to keep drawings consistent.

• Meet deadlines — Manage multiple tasks and deliver accurate work on time.

Skills Needed

• SolidWorks proficiency — Able to work independently.

• Mechanical design — Focus on mechanical systems, not electrical.

• Drafting/detailing — Strong ability to detail assemblies and components.

• Accuracy & quality — High attention to detail.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
