Wound Care Nurse (WOCN)

This position is available on a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekends required.

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Wound Care Nurse (WOCN) will be responsible for assessing patients' wounds and developing comprehensive care plans. This role includes executing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients and families about wound care protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds and overall health.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings.
• Educate patients and families on wound care techniques and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and treatment plans effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• WOCN Certification is mandatory.
• Current nursing license in good standing.
• Experience with wound care management preferred.
