Medical Assistant Position

The Garrity Family Medicine Clinic is now hiring for a full-time, team-oriented and personable Medical Assistant for our clinic located on Sister Catherine Way near our Nampa Medical Center!

This position will primarily support a new family practice provider to Saint Alphonsus and will also support family medicine providers and a team of other MAs and RNs when needed. CNA work experience does not qualify applicants for the MA position. The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Garrity Campus Clinic offers easy access to state of the art healthcare services, conveniently located next to the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa.

You will be administering immunizations, assisting with minor procedures such as circumcisions, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox. An ideal candidate is an experienced MA with experience in family/internal medicine. You are a strong team player who has a positive attitude, is outgoing. You are very detailed oriented, have excellent patient flow and pace skills, prior or current EPIC experience, and confident communication skills with providers and other staff. You want to be a part of a team that is positive, trustworthy, and respectful, and has a passion for providing the best patient care.

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, 5-8 hour shifts, Monday - Friday around the hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm. Shift start and end time can vary based on provider's schedule and clinic staffing needs.

Location: 1150 N Sister Catherine Way, Nampa, Idaho 83687 near the Nampa Medical Center.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire. MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Healthcare Association (CCMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA), American Medical Certification Association (CMAC), National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA). New Graduates: MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification. Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above. Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire. Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
