Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Tele

Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

40-hour evening shift, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, every other weekend and holiday.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN license
• ACLS upon hire OR must hold an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire
• 1 year Med/Surg experience preferred
• PALS preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient care plans.
• Provide patient care based on established standards, protocols, and procedures.
• Respect each patient and foster their sense of dignity.
• Teach patients and families based on identified learning needs and readiness to learn.
• Prepare patients and families for discharge, coordinating necessary support systems.
• Delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by others.
• Document all relevant data and therapeutic interventions accurately and timely.
• Report on assigned patients to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote learning within the nursing team.
• Identify risks to patient safety and opportunities to reduce healthcare errors.
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely as per orders.
• Assess and manage patient pain levels effectively.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment related to patient care.
