Superintendent – Modernization (Greater Washington, DC Area) Lunova Group is recruiting for a Superintendent for our client, a well-established leader in the construction and building systems industry, known for delivering complex modernization and infrastructure projects with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. They are looking for a strong candidate to lead field operations, manage project execution, and develop high-performing crews across the region. About the Role The Superintendent – Modernization will oversee modernization and construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This individual will lead field crews, coordinate subcontractors, maintain customer relationships, and provide hands‑on operational leadership across multiple active jobsites. This role is heavily focused on construction project execution, team leadership, scheduling, and customer communication. Prior elevator industry experience is not required — the company is looking for a strong construction professional with proven project management and field leadership experience who is eager to grow into a superintendent‑level role. Responsibilities Lead and supervise field personnel across multiple modernization and construction projects Manage project schedules, manpower planning, and daily field operations Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably Conduct regular job‑site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment to support project timelines Review project costs, budgets, and job status reports to identify risks and opportunities Communicate effectively with customers, consultants, architects, and internal teams throughout project execution Support change order management, purchase approvals, and project documentationTroubleshoot field and operational issues to keep projects moving forward Promote and enforce company safety standards and compliance initiatives Mentor and develop field employees through coaching, training, and performance management Maintain strong working relationships with customers and project stakeholders Assist with workforce planning, hiring, and team development initiatives Requirements 3+ years of experience in construction project management or construction field operations Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, scheduling, and project execution Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple active projects simultaneously Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing customer relationships Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation Comfortable working in fast‑paced, field‑based environments Experience with budgeting, project tracking, and operational reporting preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
