Personal Care Assistant (PCA) – Job Description Location: Greater Charlotte & Mooresville, NC Areas

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible Shifts Available

About the Role

At Homewatch CareGivers of Charlotte and Mooresville, we provide high-quality, non-medical in-home care that supports our clients’ safety, comfort, and independence. As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) on our team, you deliver hands-on personal care and companion support while building trusted, one-on-one relationships with clients and their families—helping them live with dignity right at home.

Key Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Mobility & Transfers: Support safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning according to each client's specific care plan.
• Daily Support: Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and daily routines.
• Condition Monitoring & Reporting: Observe, document, and report changes in client health, mood, or behavior promptly.
• Dignified Care: Provide compassionate, respectful care that continuously preserves client dignity and privacy.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all Homewatch CareGivers policies, individualized care plans, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience in personal care/caregiving)
• Ability to provide hands-on personal care safely and professionally
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, punctual, and responsive
• Commitment to respectful, client-centered care
