Process Control Engineer

job summary:
Join a privately owned chemistry manufacturing company that has been in business for over 40 years as a Process Control Engineer. This role will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining plant DCS and PLC automation systems. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of controls experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a direct hire opportunity with a company that has an excellent reputation and job security. This role is bonus eligible and offers relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

responsibilities:

• Program, configure, and troubleshoot DCS and PLC logic to optimize plant performance

• Maintain, install, and troubleshoot DCS/PLC hardware, VFDs, and other process control equipment

• Diagnose and maintain industrial communications and networking

• Develop project design packages and maintain technical documents

• Provide hands-on technical support for the commissioning, start-up, and continuous upgrade of new and existing control systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Process Control and Systems Engineering experience

• Knoweldge of Statistical Process Controls, Design of Experiments, Root Cause Analysis, VFDs, and PLCs
