Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data across multiple entities. This position is responsible for maintaining financial records, supporting financial reporting, performing complex reconciliations, and contributing to the overall success of the accounting function. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide timely and accurate accounting support across multiple entities, contributing to financial statement preparation and reportingManage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor payments and transaction documentationPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activityPerform routine and complex reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts, including cash, debt, revenue, and expense accountsManage fixed asset accounting activities, including capital projects, depreciation, and asset trackingExecute month-end close procedures and support financial statement reviews and auditsPrepare financial reports, analyses, and other accounting-related reporting as neededMaintain data accuracy across ERP systems and financial reporting platformsInvestigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and complex financial issuesSupport accounting activities related to entity integrations, acquisitions, and high-volume transactionsAssist with the development and improvement of internal controls, policies, and accounting proceduresServe as a technical accounting resource and provide guidance on GAAP-related mattersRequirementsMust be located within commutable distance to Columbia, MOBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred3+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience preferredCPA designation preferredStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principlesExperience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with multiple entities, acquisitions, or complex accounting environments is a plus
