Program Clerk

Under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent, to coordinate and administer the technology used to track student enrollment, assessments, and all student support services.

Reports to: Assistant Superintendent

Terms of employment: 200 workdays contracted; Eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week. Classified salary schedule.

Required qualifications:

Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment; appropriate safety precautions and procedures; basic record keeping techniques; oral and written communication skills; correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary; interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy; basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment and machines, computer essential.

Ability to type accurately 30 words per minute; make accurate arithmetical computation; follow oral and written directions; respect confidential matters; work cooperatively with others; meet schedules and timelines; maintain records and prepare reports; maintain a variety of files.

Experience: Minimum of one-year of clerical experience.

Education: High School graduate or equivalent to completion of Twelfth Grade.

Essential functions of this position:

Perform secretarial and clerical duties necessary. Maintain confidentiality of information processed or received. Compile information from various sources and download files, compile and tabulate statistical data as necessary. Answer questions and provide information and assistance to staff, administration and others. Proof records and documents for clerical and arithmetical accuracy, completeness and for compliance with established procedures as directed. Duplicate and distribute material as needed. Operate a variety of office machines such as a computer, printer, calculator, typewriter and copier. Perform related duties as assigned.
