Title: Lab Technician

Location: Jackson, Michigan

Contract 12-months with opportunity for extension

We are currently hiring an Associate NDT Lab Technician for an opportunity supporting power generation and natural gas infrastructure projects throughout Michigan.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience or interest in nondestructive testing (NDT), industrial radiography, pipeline inspection, or power plant field services. Technicians will perform and train in multiple NDT methods including:

• Radiographic Testing (RT)

• Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

• Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

• Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)

• Eddy Current Testing (ET)

• Visual Inspection (VT)

Projects are performed at fossil generation facilities, natural gas pipelines, and other electric/gas infrastructure sites across the state. This is a highly hands-on field role with extensive training and certification opportunities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience or exposure to industrial NDT, inspections, QA/QC, field service, maintenance, or technical operations

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work independently in demanding industrial environments

• Willingness to travel throughout Michigan for extended assignments

• Comfortable working overtime and flexible schedules as project demands require

• Ability to maintain composure during audits, certifications, and technical testing

Additional Details:

• Candidates must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record

• Background screening includes DMV/MVR checks, employment verification, education verification, and fingerprinting

• Position involves work around high-energy radioactive isotopes and requires industrial radiography certification training

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASNT certifications or Level I/II experience

• Industrial radiography exposure

• Power generation, refinery, pipeline, or outage experience

• Experience with RT, UT, MT, PT, ET, or VT methods
