Senior Director of Corporate Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific leads mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions across the life sciences industry. This role involves evaluating opportunities, executing complex deals, and providing strategic guidance to senior leadership in a highly active M&A environment.
Responsibilities
- Shape M&A strategy and develop analyses for executive decision-making
- Identify, evaluate, and lead strategic transactions from origination through closing
- Develop market perspectives on industry dynamics and competitive landscapes
- Present strategic and financial business cases to senior leadership
- Mentor and develop Corporate Development professionals at multiple levels
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Science, or technical field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of M&A experience including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, or investment banking
- Proficiency in valuation, financial modeling, and transaction negotiation
- Demonstrated leadership experience developing high-performing teams
- Strong financial analysis and accounting principles knowledge
- Executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership
- Ability to manage multiple complex priorities in matrixed environment
Compensation: $212,000–$282,600 base
