Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Opportunity in Las Cruces, NM

MountainView Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a fast-paced, well-supported emergency department with strong physician coverage, streamlined workflows, and a collaborative clinical environment. Emergency Department Highlights Annual ED volume: ~32,000 visits 22 Emergency Department beds 24-hour physician coverage 20 hours of NP/PA coverage daily Average patient load: ~1.8 patients/hour Admission rate: ~25% EMR system: MEDHOST EDIS Expedited credentialing available Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions Provide timely, high-quality emergency care within scope of practice Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and consulting specialists Assist in procedures and stabilization of critically ill patients when appropriate Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system Follow hospital protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based guidelines Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current New Mexico NP or PA license (or eligibility for licensure) Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency department environment Prior emergency medicine experience preferred Comprehensive Financial Package May Include Competitive compensation Commencement bonus Residency/Fellowship stipend Annual CME allowance Relocation assistance Licenses, dues, and subscriptions Vacation benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you.
