As an Administrative Support Specialist within the Morgan County Health Department, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. The Morgan County Health Department is seeking a qualified candidate to provide administrative support for health department programs. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of clerical duties, including WIC registration, while delivering exceptional customer service to clients and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform WIC registration and other clerical duties in support of health department programs. Enter and maintain accurate data and records. Maintain detailed filing and recordkeeping systems. Provide excellent customer service to clients, staff, and the public. Conduct client interviews and communicate effectively with diverse populations. Demonstrate strong reading comprehension, attention to detail, and numerical accuracy. Utilize computer systems and office software efficiently. Perform other duties as assigned in support of management and staff. High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of general office or administrative experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a medical or public health setting. Bilingual skills. A maximum of 30 minutes of physical activity may be allocated per workday, typically in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break. DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) as valid. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degrees, diplomas, licensures, and other relevant credentials.
