About the Role:
ComForCare Home Health Care in Lanham, MD is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team serving the District Heights area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals who need support to live safely and comfortably at home. **APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A DRIVER’S LICENSE AND A RELIABLE VEHICLE TO BE CONSIDERED**
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
- Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being
- Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments or errands
- Document and report any changes in client condition to supervisors
- Previous caregiving, home health aide (HHA), or personal care aide (PCA) experience required
- Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- CNA license is a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
