DevOps API Developer

Salary: $90,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• We require an active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship; Top Secret/SCI is preferred.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• We are looking for 3–5 years of progressive professional experience.
• We require an active CompTIA Security+ CE certification, or another DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II compliant certification at the same level or above, such as CYSA+, GSEC, or CISSP.
• We need demonstrated experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• We need a solid background in API engineering, including API gateways, OpenAPI/Swagger standards, and web service protocols.
• We need proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• We need practical scripting and development skills in Python, Bash, Go, or Node.js.

• We design and oversee end-to-end CI/CD pipelines that release software consistently across on-premises systems and cloud environments.
• We use DevOps tooling to manage local hardware and cloud resources as code.
• We design, build, document, and support secure, scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and web services.
• We enable smooth integration between on-premises applications, cloud-native services, and third-party platforms.
• We monitor networking, API routing, and data synchronization across our on-prem storage and cloud services.
• We apply site reliability practices to support continuous delivery, API resilience, and high availability in hybrid environments.
• We embed security scans, compliance checks, authentication controls such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, and API keys, and rate limiting into the development workflow.
• We continuously look for opportunities to replace manual tasks with automated, programmatic solutions and API integrations.
• We communicate effectively across technical and business audiences to help bridge engineering and operational goals.
• We stay composed and provide clear leadership during outages, API disruptions, and production incidents.
