We're hiring now.What you'll doPerform extremity and torso-skeletal X-rays on our in-office unit (hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, clavicle, cervical and lumbar spine, pelvis), with accurate positioning, image quality and radiation-safety compliance; maintain dosimetry and QA logsRoom patients, take vitals and histories, and document in the EHRAssist providers with exams, injections, minor procedures and wound care; remove sutures, splints and casts; apply splintsPrepare and stock exam and procedure roomsHelp keep new-patient visits on timeOccasional travel between our Kearny Mesa and Chula Vista offices What you bringCurrent California Limited Permit X-Ray Technician (XT) with the Extremities and Torso-Skeletal categories, or a California CRT. We shoot spine and shoulder-girdle films for our pain management and plastics providers, so both categories are required.Medical assistant experience (certificate preferred, not required)Orthopedic, hand, spine, pain management, sports medicine, urgent care or occupational medicine experience preferredBLS preferred; Spanish a strong plusReliable, detail-oriented, a team playerWe'll also talk to you ifYou're a CRT, or an XT with both categories, who hasn't worked as an MA; we'll train the back-office sideYou hold an Extremities-only permit with strong orthopedic MA experience; we'll pay for the Torso-Skeletal add-on course and examYou're an experienced orthopedic MA finishing a limited-permit X-ray program; we'll pay your exam and permit fees and hire you when you passCompensation and benefits$35–$38 per hour depending on experience and permit categories; $38–$40 for CRT or 3+ years of orthopedic or spine X-rayHealth, dental and vision insurance; life insurance; FSA; retirement plan with employer matchPermit renewal, continuing education and dosimetry paidSchedule: Full time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
