Clinical Manager Registered Nurse – (Hybrid Remote - Boston, MA) Role Overview Maximus is hiring a Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse) for the MA EOHHS Program. The role provides clinical leadership to ensure high‑quality, person‑centred assessments across Massachusetts. The manager oversees a team of registered nurses, reviews clinical documentation, coaches staff, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, monitors quality metrics, supports hiring and onboarding, and serves as the primary escalation point for complex cases. This role requires up to 50% travel within Massachusetts (approximately 3 days per week). Availability during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) is required, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed. About the Program The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) / MassHealth Office of Long‑Term Services and Support (LTSS) provides a robust system of care for people with disabilities and chronic conditions. The PAO conducts in‑person comprehensive assessments for LTSS programs including Adult Day Health, Adult Foster Care, Group Adult Foster Care, and Personal Care Attendant. Key Responsibilities Manage clinical and nursing team in planning, monitoring and execution of all projects within the portfolio. Provide direct supervision to a team of direct reports. Responsibly oversee contract performance including financial, quality, outcomes and client satisfaction. Serve as primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders to meet project needs and minimize risk. Contribute to division growth through proposals, client communication and related activities. Collaborate with Operations and shared services to improve quality, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness. Review clinical documentation and coach nursing staff. Implement corrective actions when needed and monitor key quality and safety metrics. Support hiring and onboarding of nursing staff. Act as primary clinical escalation point for complex cases. Qualifications Registered Nurse license valid in Massachusetts. Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in project or program management. Minimum 3 years of experience supervising clinical staff. Familiarity with Home and Community Based Services waivers (HCBS) and prior experience conducting clinical assessments. Subject matter expertise in Medicaid LTSS. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Residency in the state of Massachusetts. Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience or equivalent relevant experience. Preferred Requirements Master’s degree in Nursing. Proficiency in Adobe applications. Proficiency in Smartsheet. Familiarity with the Time to Test (TTT) assessment. Experience in utilization review or utilization management. Prior experience working remotely. Prior experience with data analytics, including preparation of monthly reports and collaboration with state partners. Minimum understanding of:
- Program clinical eligibility requirements for the MA EOHHS LTSS Programs (AFC/GAFC/ADH/ PCA)
- Documentation requirements for Assessment processes.
- Caregiver and Surrogate participation in the Assessment process.
- Understanding of the Appeals and pre‑Board of Hearing mediation process and documentation.
- Use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook/Word) and entry of assessments into an electronic system.
