As a Server at AMA Bar & Grill - Poolside your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding offerings will make guests feel unique and valued in a relaxed, outdoor and social atmosphere. Hourly: $16.00What you will be doing:Confirm station assignmentComplete daily opening checklist and duties assignedHave full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methodsMaintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guestsFocus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesSchedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel. QualificationsYour experience and skills include:Minimum 2 years’ serving experience in high volume, upscale full service restaurant preferredPrevious fine dining experience and wine knowledge is an assetAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a teamCertifications and Licenses:TB Clearance requiredMaui County Liquor Card requiredHawaii Food Safety Certification requiredEducation:High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational trainingDegree in Hospitality or Tourism is an assetYour working environment:Work tasks are performed outdoors where conditions vary throughout the yearMust be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.Must be able to push and pull 50 lbs.Constant standing, walking and reachingFrequent lifting/carrying, pushing and pullingOccasional crouching, bending, stooping, and kneelingRequires grasping, writing, repetitive motions, listening, hearing and visual acuityAdditional InformationAll Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
