Medical AssistantThe Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Perform computations. Typically work on semi-routine assignments.The Medical Assistant performs clinical tasks such as discussing symptoms and gathering information. The Medical Assistant inputs this information into the electronic medical records system. The Medical Assistant takes vital signs, gives injections, and performs diagnostic tests. The Medical Assistant collects specimens and draws blood. The Medical Assistant sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms at an outpatient care site. Collaborate with Physicians and Nurses. Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follow standard policies that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and independent discretion.Location: Delray Beach, FloridaWork Schedule: 8AM - 5PM (Mondays - Fridays)Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Pay Range: $43,000 - $56,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
