Human Resources Coordinator Are you organized, people-focused, and passionate about helping employees succeed? Mahaska is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support our team in recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and HR compliance. This role works closely with the Director of Human Resources, leadership, and local managers to keep HR operations running smoothly while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. What You’ll Do Coordinate recruiting, job postings, interviews, background checks, drug screenings, and physicals for new hires. Manage onboarding, offboarding, employee training, and uniform needs. Assist employees with benefits, 401(k), paid time off, leave of absence, and other HR-related questions. Maintain employee records, performance documentation, policies, and handbook updates. Support compliance requirements, including driver qualification files, licenses, drug testing records, and workers’ compensation documentation. Coordinate safety training, employee events, and volunteer activities. Partner with HR leadership and local managers to support employee needs and company operations. What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of Human Resources experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally and responsibly. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, and various HR systems. Ability to travel as needed and maintain reliable, on-site attendance. Work Environment This position primarily works in an office environment, with occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Excellent benefits and company perks!!
