Senior Wallcovering Installer (High-End Commercial and Residential Projects) – Southern California

A growing, established painting and wallcovering company is hiring a full-time Senior Wallcovering Installer .  This is a W2 position. We are not looking for subcontractors.

This position is strictly for experienced wallcovering installers .

This is not a drywall or general construction role.

We are looking for career wallcovering professionals who take pride in craftsmanship, precision, and consistency. Our installers operate as project partners who bring ownership, technical expertise, and professionalism to every job.

Candidates with backgrounds limited to drywall installation, general painting, or entry-level construction will not be considered .

Project Experience Includes

• Hospitality projects including 54-inch vinyl wallcovering installations
• Schools with dry erase surfaces and tack panel systems
• Tenant improvement projects featuring digital graphics and specialty fabrics
• Theater installations with wall carpet and acoustic materials
• Multi-million dollar custom homes with designer wallcoverings and premium finishes
•  

You will regularly work with high-end materials that require advanced installation knowledge and attention to detail .

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience installing vinyl, fabric, and specialty wallcoverings
• Strong understanding of layout, pattern matching, alignment, and substrate preparation
• Ability to install custom and designer materials with precision
• Experience working independently and contributing at a high level on job sites

Preferred Qualifications

• 3M certification or Wallcovering Installers Association certification
• Experience with FRP panel installation
• Knowledge of J-trim, tray systems, and detailed finish work
• High-level wallpaper removal and skim coating experience
• Strong problem-solving ability in the field

The yearly income could be $60K to $100K+ depending speed, work ethic and skills. The hourly rate is $30 per hour minimum and bonus up to 50% gross labor.
