As a Hydraulic Systems Engineer, you'll design and support custom hydraulic solutions for industrial and mobile equipment while working hands-on with customers and sales teams.Essential FunctionsDesign innovative hydraulic systems for industrial and mobile equipment applicationsEngineer power units and complete hydraulic systems from concept through implementationPartner directly with customers to understand applications, gather data, and confirm designsTroubleshoot challenges in the field and develop proactive solutions to reduce warranty claims, maintenance issues, and downtimeCollaborate with Account Managers to support customers and drive long-term successApply creativity and technical expertise to deliver cost-effective, high-performance solutionsBuild a long-term career in the fluid power industry, working with cutting-edge applicationsExperience, Education and SkillsMinimum 2-year technical degree (Fluid Power preferred); B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering a plus2+ years of experience designing hydraulic systems or applications for industrial and/or mobile equipmentStrong foundation in fluid power principles and system designAbility to think creatively and engineer solutions that balance performance, reliability, and costExperience using AutoCAD and SolidWorksFluid Power Certification preferredPrior experience with an industrial distributor is a plusWillingness to travel to support customers and sales teams throughout TX, LA, OK, AZ, NM, AR (and surrounding regions as needed)Valid driver's licenseAt SunSource, you'll be part of a team that values expertise, innovation, and long-term career growth.
