Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel) in Sitka, Alaska. Anticipated start date: 07/06/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $3,029–$3,120 per week. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $3,029–$3,120 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Start date: 07/06/2026 Travel assignment in a hospital setting in Sitka, AK Possible extension opportunities All-inclusive rate; housing or flights not provided Responsibilities Coordinate and perform a broad range of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages in the ED, following provider orders and standards of care Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement care plans, monitor patient responses, and adjust care as needed Administer medications and therapies, monitor for adverse reactions, and document treatments accurately Transcribe physician orders, coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team, and facilitate patient flow and throughput Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals as appropriate; ensure continuity of care through accurate handoffs and documentation Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs/techs, maintain infection control practices, and respond promptly to emergencies with sound clinical judgment Requirements Valid, current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska; must be current at time of submission Must have/obtain influenza vaccination prior to employment BLS and PALS required upon hire; ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire date Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; prior ER/specialty area experience preferred Education: Diploma, ADN, or BSN from an accredited program; licensure to practice as an RN in Alaska Ability to work in a hospital emergency department setting with rotating shifts; strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Must reside at least 50 miles away from the assignment facility address Benefits and Support All-inclusive pay rate; no housing or flights provided 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours and potential extension opportunities Dedicated recruiter support and assignment coordination Compliance with Alaska licensing and vaccination requirements; onboarding and credentialing assistance as applicable Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
