Join us to be part of our continuous success.General AccountabilityThis position will perform a variety of tasks related to the assembly details in the production process of heavy and large mechanical products per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule.Shift Available: 1st Shift – Monday-Friday 5a-3:30pDuties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe work environmentAdheres to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner.In the event of an accident or injury immediately, notify the Shift Lead or Supervisor on duty.Operate, maintain, and use personal protective equipment and other safety supplies and equipment.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company policies relating to safety, housekeeping and Hazardous Waste Management programs.Work without close supervisionContact the Maintenance Department to get equipment repaired when necessary.Ability and willingness to take on additional assignments as requested by management.Check results for conformance to print and / or specifications and make necessary corrections.Work with coworkers in a polite and courteous manner, providing cross training as needed.Able to work overtime as required.Able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely and independently or as a team.Must be able to stand on concrete for extended periods of time.Must be able to stand, climb, crawl, bend and utilize multiple tools including but not limited to power tools.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Expectations for Advancement PurposeLevel IMust meet and exceed the above duties and responsibilitiesAble to work independently in a work cell.Consistently uses and refers to Work Instructions to ensure high quality.Able to use power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments.Keeps the work area clean and orderly.Communicates effectively with CMT and Supervisor.Properly scan all parts into the operating systemLevel IIAll duties of Level I in addition to:Cross-trained in a minimum of 4 work cells, or able to perform specialized functions unique to a small number of employees.Attendance has not exceeded "five (5)" ptsOffers solutions to problems in the work area.Level IIIAll duties of Level I and II in addition to:Cross-trained in a minimum of 10 work cells, or able to perform specialized functions unique to a small number of employees.Knowledge of operating systems.Ability to train new employees.Participates in problem solving activities with leadership teams.ExperiencePreferred manufacturing experienceMust be a self-starter, team player and have the ability to multitask.Able and willing to work in other areas as needed. Suggest and implement improvements. Follow up on details. Seek out productive work when assignments are completed.
