Mack Industries is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Astatula, Florida .

In this role, you'll help keep our operation running by maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts, heavy equipment, and company vehicles. If you enjoy troubleshooting mechanical issues, working with your hands, and taking pride in keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently, we'd love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and fleet equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Complete DOT inspections and maintain accurate service records
• Repair engines, transmissions, steering, braking, suspension, hydraulic, electrical, and lighting systems
• Maintain and repair company trucks, trailers, forklifts, loaders, and other heavy equipment
• Respond to occasional roadside service calls for company vehicles
• Maintain inventory of parts and shop tools
• Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and safe

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience (technical education may be      substituted for experience)
• Experience diagnosing diesel engine and equipment issues
• Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and inspections
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working on construction, heavy equipment, or industrial fleets

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and crawl throughout the workday
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions
