Faithful Home Care Solutions is seeking experienced, reliable, and compassionate caregivers to provide care for a client in the Norristown area, with additional 24-hour care anticipated in Glenside beginning in November.

The ideal caregiver will have experience working with clients who have Parkinson’s disease, limited mobility, and significant physical care needs, including the use of a Hoyer lift.

Position Overview

The Direct Care Worker is responsible for providing comprehensive, non-medical personal care and supportive services to a client in their home. The caregiver will assist with activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, personal care, safety, and companionship according to the individualized care plan.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care

• Support activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation, feeding assistance, positioning, and transfers

• Assist with mobility and safe transfers using appropriate equipment, including a Hoyer lift

• Provide appropriate support to a client with Parkinson’s disease

• Assist with positioning and mobility for a client with limited mobility or who may be bed-bound

• Follow proper safety and fall-prevention techniques

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Encourage and support client independence according to the care plan

• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment

• Follow standard precautions and infection control procedures

• Maintain strict client confidentiality

• Communicate effectively with family members and the care team

• Follow agency policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations

Shift Requirements Current Schedule – Norristown

• 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Current need is for daytime coverage

Upcoming Schedule – Glenside

• 24-hour care anticipated beginning in November

• Additional scheduling details will be determined following the client assessment and development of the care plan

Qualifications Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively

Experience

• Experience caring for clients with Parkinson’s disease preferred

• Hoyer lift experience required

• Experience assisting clients with limited mobility or who are bed-bound required

• Experience with transfers and positioning

• Experience providing personal care and assistance with ADLs

• Experience providing incontinence care, including changing adult diapers

• Experience with fall prevention and safe mobility techniques

• Ability to provide compassionate, patient, and attentive care

Licensure & Other Requirements

• Valid driver's license
