About the NASA Postdoctoral Program The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities for highly talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or a NASA‑affiliated research institute. These one‑to‑three‑year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA’s missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology. Research Focus Field galaxy surveys have taught us much about galaxy evolution. Our research uses data from Webb, Hubble, Spitzer, and Chandra Deep Fields, JWST and HST legacy and treasury surveys, ground‑based follow‑up, and theoretical modeling to study galaxy evolution, morphology, gravitational lensed galaxies, and techniques to search for emission‑line galaxies. These results help plan future surveys with the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope. Location Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland Field of Science Astrophysics Eligibility Must hold a Doctoral Degree. Open to U.S. Citizens, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, foreign nationals eligible for an Exchange Visitor J‑1 visa, and applicants for LPR, asylees, or refugees in the U.S. at the time of application. Citizens from Designated Countries will not be accepted unless they are Legal Permanent Residents of the United States.
