Ongoing Care Team Clinician

Job Description Summary Organization’s Summary Statement: The OCT clinician is responsible for providing services to racially and culturally diverse students and the University community, by offering individual and group psychotherapy/counseling, diagnostic assessment, psychological and career testing, consultation, outreach, and crisis intervention. The OCT clinician is skilled in fostering the mental health, academic progress and career development of University students through a variety of psychotherapeutic and psycho-educational interventions.

EXAMPLES OF WORK:

Provides client assessments. Coordinates client referrals as necessary and appropriate. Provides psychotherapy services to clients. Assists with administrative functions. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands: Standard office work Preferences: Licensed as a practicing mental health provider for more than two years. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred. Affiliation with national and regional professional organizations. Licenses/ Certifications: Licensed or license-eligible as a mental health provider in the State of Maryland Minimum Qualifications Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: Two (2) years of clinical experience in an ambulatory mental health setting. Other: LGPC may also be considered with at least 2000 hours of post-graduate supervised clinical work and the ability to obtain a LCSW-C or LCPC license within one year. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge of mental health diagnostic conditions, principles of psychotherapy. Knowledge of group psychodynamics and supervision. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
