Radiation Therapist

Education: Associate's Degree Radiation Therapy required or Bachelor's Degree Radiation Therapy preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.

Licenses and Credentials: Radiation Therapist [State License] - Generic - HR Only required Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Radiation Therapy [ARRT-T] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.

Experience: Continuous clinical experience 1+ years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrate efficient knowledge of all equipment operation, tools and procedures specific to assigned area, and effectively troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal professional relationships with physicians, management, peers, patients, and their families.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity when resolving issues and conflict.
• Must have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information.
• Must be proficient in the use of the Radiation Oncology Information Systems and software and Hospital Information Systems that integrate with the Department of Radiation Oncology, including, but not limited to: ARIA, EPIC, ExacTrac, Eclipse.
