Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray to perform diagnostic imaging in a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (R) certification.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 418 staffed beds
• X-Ray Tech unit supporting Radiology and Cardiology services
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift, 4x10 hours from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM
• One call shift required per month
• No weekend requirement
• No floating between units required within the contracted facility, though floating between sister facilities nearby may be expected
• Epic EMR used for charting
• OR experience required with O-arm experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working in the ER

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
• OB/MI certification required
• Compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission; license required if applicable
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with abdomen/GI, upper and lower extremity, spine and pelvis, chest and thorax, and head imaging preferred
• Fluoroscopy and enema study experience preferred (Barium Swallow, Upper GI, ERCP, Barium Enema)
• Mobile and surgical imaging experience including C-Arm and O-Arm procedures
• Experience with GE and PACS equipment preferred
• Experience with Carestream and Fuji equipment preferred
• Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation/administration, and radiation safety
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for submission

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable, with OR/L&D scrubs provided by the facility
• No parking fee at this location
• Returning former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Candidates should not contact facility staff directly except for scheduled interviews
