The location offers the advantage of being close to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, making travel convenient for weekend getaways or visiting friends and family.In this outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant role, you will work a consistent day schedule, five days per week, eight-hour shifts, totaling approximately 40 hours weekly. The setting is focused on outpatient rehabilitation, where you will support Physical Therapists in delivering individualized care plans. Typical patient populations may include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic joint pain, and general musculoskeletal conditions, as well as those needing strengthening, conditioning, or balance training.Your daily responsibilities will include assisting with evaluations and implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, providing manual therapy techniques as directed, and educating patients on home exercise programs and prevention strategies. You will document care accurately in the electronic medical record, communicate changes in patient status promptly, and collaborate closely with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Patient volumes can vary by day, but you can expect a steady outpatient caseload that will allow you to refine your skills in managing multiple appointments while maintaining strong patient engagement.The environment is designed to be professional and supportive, with an emphasis on patient-centered care, open communication, and teamwork.
