About the Position

Shifts are from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with occasional shifts from 3 PM to 3 AM if needed. Availability for weekend and holiday coverage is necessary. No call is required for this position. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Candidates must possess certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS. Experience with EPIC charting is mandatory. Experience in STEMI and stroke facilities is essential. The department services various special populations, including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health. This role involves caring for patients across all age groups. The department handles a wide range of patient diagnoses. Staffing ratio is 4 patients per nurse during day and night shifts. Weekend coverage is expected, up to every other weekend. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs. The candidate must have experience in managing ventilated patients and administering blood products. Skills in triage and interpreting dysrhythmias are also necessary. Compliance with local policies regarding background checks is required. All nurses must pass a compliance EKG exam prior to starting the role.
