Sr. Construction Project Manager (Retail/Grocery Focus)
Location: Duluth, GA (Atlanta Metro Area)
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects for a growing general contractor in the Atlanta metro area. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring budgets, schedules, and quality standards are consistently achieved.

The ideal candidate has strong experience managing retail construction projects , with a preference for grocery or big-box environments , and is comfortable leading fast-paced builds with multiple stakeholders.

Our client is a well-established GC providing comprehensive construction management services, with a focus on preconstruction planning, cost control, and high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
• Oversee bidding, procurement, and contract administration
• Review drawings and specifications for scope accuracy and constructability
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Lead project meetings and provide updates to clients and leadership
• Ensure projects meet safety standards, timelines, and quality expectations
• Support project startup, scheduling, and closeout activities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management 
• Strong commercial construction experience, preferably in retail environments
• Experience managing ground-up and/or renovation projects
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of subcontractor coordination and project execution

Preferred

• Experience with grocery store or big-box retail construction
• Familiarity with Atlanta market and subcontractor base
• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software
