The expo is the liaison between the kitchen and FOH. Responsibilities include making sure food and drinks hit the table in a timely manner, all plates are properly garnished/plated/presented/ informing servers about any issues or questions at tables, working with the line cook and CDC to course and expedite dishes, checking the quality of food before it hits the table, and helping maintain the cleanliness of the pass.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Answer, report, and explicitly follow Culinary Director and Chef de Cuisine instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Culinary school diploma
- Food Handler's Safety Certificate
