Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and independence with ADLs
- Assist patients with functional training, adaptive equipment use, and therapeutic activities
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License in California
- Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS Certification (if required by facility)
- SNF experience preferred but not required
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program

- Patient progress monitoring and documentation
