Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech

Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

The role requires a certified operating room technician who will be responsible for surgical procedures. The technician will work on a mid shift schedule from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Every other weekend availability is required. There are no call requirements. The facility operates as a mandatory float facility. All staff may be required to float within their specialty or to other areas as needed. Floating may occur across a variety of units, which may include different specializations. Refusal to float may result in assignment cancellation. Two professional references will be required prior to the start of employment. The technician must possess skills in various surgical procedures, including but not limited to: - Ambulatory OR, General OR - Various surgeries including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, and others - Knowledge in safety protocols, sterilization, disinfection, and universal protocol procedures is essential - A team-based care model will be implemented to ensure appropriate support if floated outside of primary competency. Compliance with established work guidelines is necessary, including time-off requests. All candidates must be responsive and meet requirements promptly.
