Your future role at a glance Location: Waco, TX Facility: Providence Specialty: PACU Schedule: Day | Full Time How you’ll make an impact in this role Provide expert, direct nursing care for high-acuity patients in the immediate post-operative period, maintaining strict adherence to AORN/ASPAN standards and aseptic techniques. Evaluate physiological responses to anesthesia and surgical interventions, utilizing clinical expertise to anticipate case-specific needs and potential complications based on complex pathophysiology. Implement aggressive, individualized pain management strategies and therapeutic interventions to stabilize patients during the most vulnerable phase of surgical recovery. Function as a vigilant advocate in a Level 1 setting, continuously assessing patient stability to ensure safe transitions and optimal outcomes in a high-volume surgical environment. What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need Licensure / Certification / Registration Clinical Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences 1 plus years ICU/ED/PACU RN experience. ACLS PALS 36 hours per week 9am- 9pm with on call.
