Intern - Service College

Job Overview HOLT CAT is looking for a College Intern to work with our CAT Support team under the direct guidance of an experienced Shop Service Supervisor to receive on‑the‑job training. The intern’s primary purpose is to learn and develop an understanding of the overall CAT Support Service Department operation. Department Machine Division (MAC) Location San Antonio Employment Type Internship Essential Functions Receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from leadership Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies; comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards Maintain regular and punctual employee attendance Perform maintenance tasks Help install, repair, and replace mechanical and electronic components Clean and/or lubricate machines Examine and test equipment, components, and parts to ensure proper functioning Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts using hand or power tools Adjust, maintain, and repair equipment and machine components Perform welding and other NDT tasks to ensure standards are met Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn Basic computer skills Good written and verbal communication skills Time management and organizational skills Basic math calculations and the ability to read, write, and understand work instructions Requirements Currently enrolled in a College or Technical School Welding program Supervisory Responsibilities None Travel No travel is expected for this position Physical Requirements This role frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations Work Environment Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions #J-18808-Ljbffr HOLT CAT
