About the Position

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: RN Telemetry I Specialty: RN Telemetry I Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Critical thinking skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to work in a stressful environment Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Cares for all cardiac needs including post-operative care. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-6. Support is provided by patient care technicians and a unit coordinator. Utilizes virtual sitter monitoring and monitor technicians for telemetry. May be required to float to other departments. Must be able to work up to 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period and holidays if needed.
