Senior Management Analyst

Pay Rate: $35-42

Onsite Monday-Thursday in Surprise, remote on Fridays

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, procurement coordination, contract administration, program administration, or a related area
• Hands-on experience working within a financial management system.
• Strong financial background, including experience with budgets, invoices, purchase orders, account coding, reconciliations, or expense tracking
• Experience reviewing, entering, organizing, and maintaining financial, purchasing, vendor, contract, or asset records
• Ability to coordinate activities between multiple departments and move requests through established workflows from initiation through completion
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions, files, action items, and deadlines
• Experience communicating with managers and stakeholders to gather missing information, resolve discrepancies, and provide status updates
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word

Pluses:

• Experience with Tyler Munis or another municipal or government financial management system
• Experience with Halo ITSM or another IT service management platform, such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or BMC Helix
• Previous experience supporting a city, municipality, public-sector organization, or government agency
• Knowledge of public-sector budgeting, procurement processes, or zero-based budgeting
• Experience tracking technology assets, software licenses, vendors, renewals, or contracts
• Experience creating financial reports, dashboards, forecasts, or spending analyses
• Familiarity with IT purchasing or technology-related procurement
• Certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CPPB, or CSAM

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Management Analyst to support the financial, procurement, vendor, contract, and asset management functions of a large Information Technology department. This person will serve as a central coordinator between IT managers, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and other internal teams. They will help move financial and purchasing activities from point A to point B, track progress, communicate outstanding action items, and ensure requests are completed accurately and on time.

A major focus of the role will be reviewing and organizing existing flat files, folders, financial records, contracts, invoices, purchasing documentation, and asset information. The analyst will perform data entry, validate records for accuracy and completeness, follow up with managers to gather missing information, and help establish consistent systems of record.

The organization currently uses Halo ITSM for IT service and asset-related activity and Tyler Munis for financial management. Because the systems do not fully communicate with one another, this individual will help connect the information between them by reviewing records, reconciling data, updating documentation, and facilitating the appropriate actions across departments.

Additional responsibilities may include:

• Coordinating technology purchase requests from initial intake through procurement, legal review, purchase order creation, invoicing, and payment
• Entering or reviewing purchase orders, invoices, account codes, and related financial information
• Monitoring departmental spending and reconciling actual expenses against budgets or forecasts
• Maintaining vendor, contract, renewal, software license, and asset tracking records
• Developing and maintaining status logs, reports, dashboards, and documentation
• Supporting managers with budget preparation, financial reporting, and purchasing activities
• Tracking action items and following up with the appropriate stakeholders until completion
• Identifying missing, incomplete, or inconsistent records and coordinating corrections
• Supporting audit readiness by ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible
• Helping improve workflows between the organization’s financial management and IT service management systems

This person does not need to be an expert in contract negotiation. Dedicated Procurement and Legal teams will handle specialized negotiations and legal reviews. The analyst’s responsibility will be to coordinate the process, maintain accurate records, track progress, and ensure the appropriate people complete each required action.
