Job Title: Lead Business Intelligence Analyst

Location(s): Overland Park KS
(Hybrid:2 days per week Tuesday through Thursday)

Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for handling the Product Analytics needs of a release train. This role involves consulting with stakeholders understanding their products and leveraging analytics skills and tools to make product recommendations. The ideal candidate will be skilled at designing analyses in response to customer needs and producing and delivering actionable insights.

The Business Intelligence Manager must be able to work independently as the analytics resource for internal stakeholders. A strong candidate proactively identifies opportunities beyond what stakeholders have asked for closing the product lifecycle loop by surfacing insights that drive new ideation and optimization strategies.

The Business Intelligence Manager also serves as a technical advisor within an analytics team consulting with teammates on technical problems and helping teach new skills when necessary. Successful candidates are adept communicators who use storytelling to convey analytics findings and make recommendations. Automotive industry product management and/or UX experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and support cross-functional teams to make data-driven business decisions aimed at growth and business optimization.
• Support product ideation and discovery research and analyses that estimate potential opportunities and guide priorities and focused areas.
• Work with stakeholders and the Experimentation Team to formulate experiment plans with appropriate success metrics by applying experimentation best practices.
• Perform test analyses using appropriate statistical testing methods.
• Proactively identify and recommend opportunities that may not be considered by Product teams including forward-looking insights that go beyond historical trends to inform future optimization strategies.
• Define appropriate analytics requirements validate tagging specifications and perform data validation UAT to ensure data capture supports downstream analyses needed to generate useful product and business insights.
• Support the maintenance of analytics implementation and accuracy of digital analytics data capture.
• Monitor post-launch product and business performance and proactively work with stakeholders to establish requirements for recurring and ad-hoc analytics support.
• Provide reporting analyses actionable insights and recommendations to drive growth.
• Collaborate with the Reporting Team to automate recurring reports on key KPIs.
• Leverage KPI reporting to guide custom analyses and generate deeper insights using advanced analytics methodologies applied to online user behavioral and related business data.
• Present analysis results as cohesive insights stories with clear key takeaways so non-analytics stakeholders can understand the business implications and recommendations.
• Work with management to develop recommendations for business decisions and actions based on analytical findings.
• Review results with various levels of internal and external audiences in a concise and effective storytelling manner.
• Learn and use analytics and other relevant technologies including web analytics tools SQL-based databases and data visualization software.
• Work directly with vendors to resolve technology and analytics-related issues.
• Support Analytics Leads and other leaders on company initiatives and projects helping drive execution according to project milestones and timelines.
• Build and maintain data pipelines data assets dashboards and reports.
• Perform other duties as needed or required.
• Travel by land and/or air for same-day or overnight trips up to 5%.

Required Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills.
• Strong Power BI experience.
• Strong data storytelling and data visualization skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with web analytics tools.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear business insights and recommendations.
• Ability to learn and apply new analytics and technology tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive industry experience.
• Product management experience.
• UX experience.
• Experience with experimentation statistical testing and experiment planning.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data assets.
• Experience with digital analytics implementation tagging specifications and data validation UAT.

Work Arrangement

• Travel: Up to 5%.
• Contract position with possibility of extension.
