Quality Inspector - 1st shift

Position Quality Inspector – Production Location Forest, MS Responsibilities Conduct in-process and final inspections of electronic and mechanical assemblies to determine product quality and acceptability of inspected items. Perform test witnessing and test data verification to ensure functionality of deliverable units. Raise notifications of non-conformance, quarantine non-conforming product and, when approved, provide scrap or standard rework disposition. Review drawings and process requirements to support compliance of production items to technical data packages. Interpret and adhere to quality standards, specifications, and procedures. Use measurement tools and equipment to verify product dimensions and quality. Document inspection results and maintain detailed records; maintain inspection stamp. Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes. Perform administrative tasks associated with file management and material control. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in product inspection or manufacturing quality assurance. Experience in a manufacturing or depot repair environment. Experience reading or blueprint drawing. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship required. Preferred: Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Experience using basic inspection hand tools (calipers, micrometers, inspection scopes, etc.). Experience in quality inspection and using quality control principles, tools, and techniques. Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and organization. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills including SAP, CMES. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Schedule First shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Flexibility around shifts for training and workflow, including overtime.
