We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator OR to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and support our mission of delivering exceptional, patient-centered surgical care. In this key leadership role, you will coordinate and oversee daily clinical operations in the Operating Room, working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative services.

As the Clinical Nurse Coordinator OR, you will serve as both a hands-on clinical expert and a frontline leader for the OR nursing staff. You will assist with staffing assignments, manage patient flow, and help prioritize cases to support on-time starts and efficient turnover while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety. You will function as a clinical resource and mentor, offering guidance in complex patient care situations and supporting the growth and development of nurses and support staff in the perioperative environment.

Responsibilities include participating in direct patient care within the RN scope of practice across the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases as needed, ensuring that all patients receive thorough assessment, appropriate interventions, and clear education regarding their procedures and postoperative expectations. You will promote adherence to evidence-based practices, aseptic technique, and infection prevention standards, and you will ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. In collaboration with departmental leadership, you will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, monitor key quality and safety indicators, participate in performance improvement projects, and support the implementation of best practices throughout the OR.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with substantial perioperative experience who is comfortable balancing clinical responsibilities with leadership and coordination activities in a fast-paced, technologically advanced surgical setting. You should demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and adapt to rapidly changing demands, and excellent communication skills when working with patients, families, physicians, and fellow team members.
